Childrens' playground

After my second film was a miserable failure *cry*, i'm so happy with the results of my third film! I'm finally figuring out how to avoid over(andunder)exposing my shots and playing around a bit more with the bulb setting. Here's some of my favourites...

Bergamo Alto

About a month ago Stefano and I took a day-trip to Bergamo Alto - a town built up on the hills. We visited the Colleoni Church, the beautiful old library of Bergamo as well as the Rocca Castello.

Teapot

For my birthday, Stefano gave me a lovely red-and-white pokadot teapot and teacups by Anne-Claire Petit. I heart them, and they're now living in our room.

Venezia

Stefano and I took a little trip to Venezia for 5 days last week! We got to go there for carnevale as well as for my 21st birthday! We stayed in a cosy little room at a townhouse called Alloggi Sardegna, which is run by a little old italian lady and was just perfect accommodation for us. Here's a few pictures from our travels...

Pijama - colourful soft cases -

A couple of weeks ago I bought a very practical, but gorgeous, laptop cover for my MacBook. It's from Pijama, a local design company in Milano. I love it!

Bologna 'The Red'

Last Sunday Stefano took me to see the city of Bologna, which is located in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. It was a 2 hour drive from of Milan, which made it a big day. Bologna is one of Italy's oldest cities and the University of Bologna is the oldest university of the western world. Stefano told me that the city is sometimes called Bologna-the-red or Bologna-the-smart due to the the red tile roof-tops and its university, respecitvely. Apparently, it's also home to bolognaise - who would have guessed!?

A couple of photos from the day:

Travel Journal from Kikki. K

This travel journal (with matching stickers) from Kikki. K. is a great place for me to write down all the new Italian words I learn everyday. The perfect going away present, thanks to Steph.

Soundtrack for Travel

(500) Days of Summer, with the beautiful Zooey Deschanel, is the loveliest movie of last year. The soundtrack is just as lovely, and pertfect for long plane rides to Europe (thanks Claire). Songs on the soundtrack include: Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap, Us by Regina Spektor and Here Comes Your Man by Meaghan Smith.

This is a story of boy meets girl. But you should know upfront, this is not a love story.
